Tutoring

Is tutoring online?

Yes. Tutoring is online first. You meet by video. If you need a different setup, say so on the consult form. We will tell you if we can do it.

What subjects do you cover?

U.S. History, Government, Economics, and AP Human Geography. Sessions can also focus on World History, study skills, and test prep for those courses.

Who is tutoring for?

Parents, homeschoolers, and students, including adults who want to study for themselves. If you are a student, use a parent or guardian email on the form.

How does a new student start?

Three steps. A free consult, then a written plan, then sessions. The consult does not lock you into a paid plan.

Do you tutor small groups?

Yes. A small-group seat is $25 per student for a 60-minute online session. A group is 2 to 4 students.

How much does tutoring cost?

The published rates are on the tutoring page. A 60-minute intro session is $35, one per family. A 60-minute one-to-one session is $50. A 45-minute middle school session is $40. A 90-minute essay and document-based question (DBQ) intensive is $75. A 4-session pack is $180. An 8-session pack is $340. A small-group seat is $25. The U.S. History and the Constitution end-of-course (USHC EOC) boot camp is $125. The AP Human Geography boot camp is $150. Request a session on the tutoring page. Payment is not taken there.

Shop

Where do I buy the classroom resources?

On Teachers Pay Teachers, when the store is open. This site does not sell the files.

Can a homeschooler use the resources?

Yes. The resources are for teachers and homeschoolers.

Is there a free sample?

A free sample is planned on the Teachers Pay Teachers store. It is not on this site yet.

Quillhaven

Can I play Quillhaven now?

Yes. On the Quillhaven page, press Play the demo. The game loads after that click. It plays best on a computer or tablet with a keyboard. You can still join the waitlist.

What is the art style?

The Quillhaven page uses pixel-art sprites for Tahne, Merlin, Professor Bramble, Winston Wolf, Brittany, Ruth, and Rudy, and for the Academy, Library, Town Hall, Map Room, Printer’s Shop, Science Lab, Cottage, and Market Stall. Professor Bramble keeps the Library. Merlin keeps the Academy portals. Winston Wolf keeps the Map Room. The griffin-and-quill mark in the header is the final logo.

What does Quillhaven collect?

Quillhaven collects only what teachers need, never sells it, and has no ads or trackers. The Privacy Policy is still a draft and needs an attorney.

Schools and districts

Can a school license Quillhaven?

Site licenses are the plan, and they are not for sale yet. The schools page has an inquiry form. That note goes to [email protected].

Do you offer workshops?

Workshops are an inquiry, not a posted calendar. They can cover reading sources, writing a claim with evidence, and using a Griffin & Quill lesson.
